Let's Make Congestion Pricing Fair

Congestion pricing is coming to New York. Drivers will face a $15 charge whenever they enter the Central Business District during the day time, and $3.20 at night.

The project is currently paused, while solutions are sought that make pricing fairer.

Congestion pricing is a great way to fund transit projects in the region, and to reduce traffic gridlock in Manhattan. However, we believe that pricing should be fairer for low-income drivers and low-polluting vehicles.

We believe GoCarma is the ideal tool to make pricing fairer.

With the GoCarma app, you can now learn how much you will pay each time you drive into Manhattan's Central Business District (CBD).

Each time you drive through any of the bridges or tunnels into the CBD, the app will automatically activate and record a transaction.

When you reach your destination, you will be able to see the transaction and the price you will have to pay once congestion pricing is finally introduced.

GoCarma offers policymakers the ability to apply pricing, or to provide discounts or rebates, for qualifying vehicles and drivers.
