Do you sometimes drive on any Irish toll road? Well, now you can use the GoCarma app to automatically be entered into a monthly prize draw each time you drive on one. Even better - if you travel with at least one other GoCarma user in the vehicle, the trip will be entered FIVE TIMES into that month's draw.

GoCarma works a bit like a toll tag, but without the hassle. It activates automatically when you drive near a toll location to process a transaction.

Shortly afterwards you will see the road transaction on the app's home screen.

To get set up, simply ensure you've added your vehicle in the app and approved the requested app permissions.

We set this project up to demonstrate the potential for smartphones to make tolls fairer for people and more accurate for toll agencies.

We also believe that traffic congestion in Ireland can be greatly reduced by incentivizing people to carpool

For more than 15 years, we have worked with government agencies to verify high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) trips. Our patented technology is used in the United States to enable people to qualify for HOV toll discounts. We believe this would be just as effective in Ireland.

The GoCarma app includes a dedicated Privacy screen, where you can learn more about how GoCarma protects your privacy.

GoCarma only uses your location when you travel on a tolled road. No other location is ever saved by the app. In fact, on the Privacy screen, you can see all the locations GoCarma has saved.

The app will request permissions to "Always" access your location. This is simply to allow the app to automatically activate when you travel through a toll road, even when you do not have the app open. It does not mean that GoCarma saves your location anywhere else.
