The GoCarma app works just like a toll tag. Once you set the app up, it will activate automatically (hands-free, distraction-free) on certain roads. We process road transactions without using any roadside infrastructure, and now you can experience how it works on your way back to the airport.

Are you traveling back to Sevilla Airport? If so, you can use the GoCarma app to automatically be entered into a monthly prize drawing.

Even better - if you travel with at least one other GoCarma user in the vehicle, the trip will be entered FIVE TIMES into the prize drawing.

Once you download the GoCarma app, sign-up and allow some app permissions, you're all set. The app will then automatically activate when you travel on the A-4 highway back to the airport.

Shortly afterwards you will see the road transaction on the app's home screen.

We set this project up to demonstrate the potential for smartphones to reduce the collection cost of any toll facility. Offering GoCarma as an option to drivers, alongside toll tags, will reduce the potential for failed transactions and costly image reviews.

The GoCarma app also enables you to offer personalized discounts to low-income drivers and low-polluting vehicles. In Dallas-Fort Worth, the app is already used by more than 75,000 people to qualify for high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) toll discounts.

The GoCarma app includes a dedicated Privacy screen, where you can learn more about how GoCarma protects your privacy.

GoCarma only uses your location when you travel on a tolled road. No other location is ever saved by the app. In fact, on the Privacy screen, you can see all the locations GoCarma has saved.

The app will request permissions to "Always" access your location. This is simply to allow the app to automatically activate when you travel through a toll road, even when you do not have the app open. It does not mean that GoCarma saves your location anywhere else.

We do not share your personal data with anyone.
