Why does the app say "Out of Hours" when I open it?

This article explains how GoCarma verifies HOV status during weekday peak periods only.

The GoCarma app verifies your vehicle's HOV status during the following weekday peak periods only:

  • 6:30 am - 9:00 am (Monday to Friday)

  • 3:00 pm - 6:30 pm (Monday to Friday)

At other times, when you open the app, you may see an "Out of Hours" message.

This means that the app will not activate except during those times when your vehicle may be eligible for HOV toll discounts.

During the above weekday peak hour periods, GoCarma continues to help you qualify for HOV toll discounts on all DFW TEXpress Lanes. The app works automatically when you're in the car - you don't even need to have the app open.
