On your iPhone, you may notice that the GoCarma app requests permission to access your iPhone's "Precise Location".

The reason for this request is that GoCarma relies on accurate location to activate the app when you travel in a TEXpress Lane and to confirm your proximity to another GoCarma user in your vehicle. Once 2 GoCarma users are confirmed as traveling together in coordinated proximity in a Dallas-Fort Worth TEXpress Lane, the vehicle may be eligible for a 50% HOV toll discount during weekday peak periods.

If you do not allow the app to access Precise Location, you will not be verified as traveling in the vehicle, and the vehicle may not qualify for a toll discount.

GoCarma never collects GPS data outside of a TEXpress Lane and will only use GPS when you travel in a TEXpress Lane during weekday peak periods.
