Good news! With the release of GoCarma v2.0 on May 21st 2021, you will no longer need to receive and activate a GoCarma Pass for your vehicle.

If you already have a GoCarma Pass in your vehicle, you should leave it there.

--------

A GoCarma Pass is only used for vehicles added prior to GoCarma v2.0. It is kept in the glove box and uses Bluetooth technology to detect the driver and/ or passengers in the vehicle with the GoCarma app.

Passengers do not need to request a GoCarma Pass, they just use the GoCarma app to be detected in the vehicle.

An Occupant Pass is only needed by a passenger who does not have a smartphone. It can be carried in a pocket or bag to detect their presence in a vehicle that the driver has set up with GoCarma.
